Facebook Hacked

weird that it seems to be happening a lot atm.. perhaps wiuth the newly introduced privacy settings etc well fairly recent they have left a we door open somewhere...

yes I still use IE, I know its worse then other browsers but its what I have 'always used' and can't bring myself to use another one :)
I do have firefox installed too and use that if I find a webpage that IE can't handle (normally a flash/java based site or one that uses a lot of ram)
 
Anybody heard of the "Ramnit" virus? I got it a few weeks ago,clicked one link in google and it was all over for my windows instalation. Anti-virus companies all recommend not to try to clean it because you just cant. A hard disk format is essential. When i read up on it,its been around for a year or 2(but it can be remotely changed/mutated).... in january of this year there was a story about it spreading through facebook and collecting like half a million facebook users passwords.........seems more than coincidental to me that all these people on the forum get their accounts broke into in a 1-2 day period.

lol, Facebook hasn't been hacked.

- You have malware on your machine.
- You were phished.
- You used a weak password.
- You used the same password on another site which was compromised by "hackers".

Many possibilities.

Do people here just read the thread title and post a reply before reading the post?

this IS about MY account on FB, im NOT saying 'Facebook as a whole' has been hacked just my little account :)
 
when my email accounts got hacked I found out a month later that my router was in DMZ mode. I was like, "WHY ARE THESE DIRTY HACKING RUSSIANS TARGETING ME!". (2months later) *** unacceptable swearing *** my router is in dmz mode.
 
I got this, just go onto facebook normally and follow all the security stuff and use a strong password.
 
My Facebook was hacked twice from turkey and Brighton, and used to spam dodgy porno links to loads of people. I managed to change the password and post that I had been hacked, but I lost three friends who thought it was me sending the links.

Stupid noobs on Facebook.
 
Yep, change your password if you can asap, and your email password that is linked with facebook and anything else linked with that, that has the same password

My hotmail was hacked through my facebook (i had the same password) ...paypal, amazon, play and about 3 other sites were also linked to that email address and password

It was a right pain in the nuts, a lot more so than losing my wallet with all my bank cards in
