as said above dude, apparently they don't build a profile on my browsing habits, but even so, i don't see ads.

i use a combo of minmin, adaway and i've disabled ad components for some problematic apps with rom toolbox. i think i'm covered

Don't install facebook app you aren't missing much anyway its pretty poop!

I'm really not one of these paranoid people, I accept that facebook are harvesting as much data as they can about me from my facebook account, and that google are doing the same from my gmail account. But I thought this seemed a step to far, I'm kinda surprised that people are happy for facebook to gather information they neither need or really have a right to, and its not like they've done a lot to earn trust...

I accept that its the price you pay for a free service if facebook is gathering my details from facebook, but that's all they should really be entitled to.

What would be great is if you had the option of disabling certain permissions by default without root, it should be an integral function of all operating systems imo.

This would allow for a level of privacy the user is happy with balanced out with the amount of features the app can perform.
