Facebook relationship status question

I want to list my status as single, but don't want the hold world to know on the news feed. Is there some way of doing it and so its not publicly on my profile front page and only when people click the info tab ?

I guess it begs the question why you would want it on your profile for all your "friends" to see, but not on your news feed, for all your "friends" to see..

You can change the privacy settings to remove notifications about personal info including relationship status.

*EDIT* Correction, this was before all those big privacy updates a while ago.

Just set it so no one can see the relationship status in the privacy settings.

Now, you are free to post your new status without anyone knowing.

Just hide that part of your profile to EVERYONE. Then change it. And then make it visible again.

However, owing to a friend insisting it's not "official" unless you do it on Facebook, we've both decided not to change our statuses just to wind them up.

My status isn't even visible as I've disabled that from being seen. It just doesn't bother me. We know we're together, my friends know we're together...

Just delete it from your page after changing it.

I hate the way stuff appears on my page for all to see when I write on a friends wall. I not only use it for messages really and being nosy looking at peoples pictures
