Hey guys,

Trying to upload some photos to facebook as i normally do, when i'm exploring my documents for them they show up fine. But when i actually click Upload and it does its thing for a while, afterwards some show up as just JPEG icons.

I noticed that the ones that work have dimensions of 640*480, 800*600, 250*188 etc ; whilst the ones that aren't working all have resolutions of 597*400..

Is there something wrong with Facebook and this resolution !?

Cheers guys :)

PS

oh and 597*400 is my resolution for landscape photos taken by a normal disposable camera..

whereas i just realised that the portrait photos (400*597) work dandy..

what on earth is wrong with 597*400 !!! Too widescreen ?

facebook just acts up like this :s
my friend was trying to upload pictures from his camera, and I think 4 MP pics got uploaded as 360x240 rather than any decent size.

I had pics from a SLR, which were in NEF format. Converted them to jpeg, and they're fine on the computer. Uploaded them to facebook, and all of them were jsut very dark for some reason :s

It's facebook screwing up somewhere, but not quite sure where, lol.

(oh, sorry. don't have a solution to your problem. just thought i'd add in my problems as well :p)

Well... use MS Paint to make turn it from a resolution of 597*400 to 600*400. Works perfectly (bar the miniscule white border at the edge).

The mind baffles!
