I dont get it, if the username is not the persons name then it makes it pointless.

I suppose if you meet someone in the street it's easier to say to someone "My Facebook name is whatever" but surely they would just search for your name?

The feature does no harm but I hate Facebook anyway so im biased.

Deleted my account and never looked back.

Got my first name.lastname, fairly happy with that, this was 6 hours after the names were up for grabs as well.
