Had a message from Facebook saying at some point soon they will require a passkey to log in. However when I go to create one it just says this

So how do I insert a security key into the USB port, if I don't have one in the first place? Hence creating one

Employer: I see you're highly regarded in your field.

OP: Uh huh. N'om sayin?

Employer: Indeed I do.

OP: *Skeleton shrug, hot as actual ball$ *

Employer: Tidy two dawg, y0

OP: *salutes then curtsies*

Employer: DO A FACEBOOK

OP: ...

OP: Passkey mountain, hobbit?, oh no gandalf falling, none shall pass ... key

Employer: Next!

OP: Ha, gotcha! My plan all along.

@JonRGV250 and @iamgigglz was the only one actually being help so thanks for that!

It's the mention of Facebook - brings out all the pitchforks and torches, mine included tbf.

Err. 2fa anyone? Should already be used in meta

Has been for many years but it's not as secure as everyone makes it out to be. Unfortunately passkeys with biometrics are the way forward for now.

If you can't comply with their security steps then you have 2 choices

1 - comply
2 - choose another social media platform

ps The biometric data stays inside your phone, not stored at FB... allegedly.
