Suddenly my main page of FBook has changed and shows notifacations of who has accepted eachother as a friend, pushing any real status's down for no reason. I don't care who is now friends.

Whilst searching through the settings in an attempt to find a way to turn it off I came across this:

Has there always been a payment tab or are they about to drop some bomb shell on us?

Change your main page to "News Feed" rather than "Live Feed"

No idea about payments though.

Payment tab has been there ages...

They must have just updated the site - my page switched to the new feed/live feed setup just now after a refresh - I think they are changing it again to make it easier to filter out crap.

I think payments are for various things, such as gifts and updates sent to your mobile phone.

Payments has been there for ages, some people seem to spend money to buy icons and...well, that's it, I think.

Anyway, http://blog.facebook.com for news on updates - this is the second one down the page. Comments would suggest people aren't too impressed so far! I'm not overly fussed, after the initial "it's CHANGED!", everyone tends to get used to it fairly fast.
