Facebook

Much of the British Steampunk community, the Scooter Rally and Vintage scene and a lot of British Re-enactment groups would find it almost impossible to function without it now.

I was dragged kicking and screaming to it a few years ago but I'm bloody glad I was, it's indispensable these days for many of the things I do.

The haters are just as much brainless sheep as the idiots who put their whole life up on it. It's a tool people, you control it, it doesn't control you ;)
yea it annoys me every time facebook tries to get me to fill in my job etc and education...
It's non of your damn business and my friends already know or don't need to.

the only people this information is really useful to is advertises.......

It's facebook not linkedin FFS

oh and every damn page now wants you to suggest it to friends like they are sheep who can't use a brain cell to find something they are interested in without other people guiding them

I don't like Facebook at all. Use to be a member 2 years ago, but deleted everything/deactivated the account when I discovered the targeted adds I was getting was from cross-referenced phone numbers they had gathered from my mobile  and after reading the Canadian Office of Privacy report on their company.

Also then had to Email their admin team as I was STILL getting "Do you know...." emails from them (and also had someone had set up a bogus account in my name again pretending to be me :p)

Even after all that - I still can't understand why people just can't give a straight answer in here - but have to resort to all the same jokes we read 3 years ago.

Good grief, that would be a lot of emailing for me, what a waste of time when Facebook does it so simple.

Yeah but what if you want the original resolution? I can't be doing with 640x480 pictures on a 1080p screen :p Especially not with my eyesight, and I think you know about my sight already because we've both discussed our disabilities. Plus, I CC in all of the parties involved, so it's still 1 email.

Where's the picture of that bloke clapping loudly?

Then you link to it.
The big problem is that people will log into Facebook but never read their emails.

I actually sent a Dropbox link to 10 people last week in their emails and only one replied.
I then sent the link on Facebook and 8 replied.

Facebook allows full resolution uploads :o
