the people he's running against own the media and they hated not having a puppet for President.
Ezpz. For your side, none (durrr, there's none to uncover silly!) and for the other side, infinite. It is impossible to know. How much corruption has gone undiscovered?
Exactly, the press hardly act in good faith due to bias.Ezpz. For your side, none (durrr, there's none to uncover silly!) and for the other side, infinite.
My nephew claimed today at lunch that Trump's presidency was less corrupt than previous presidents because he couldn't see past enriching himself. Whereas previous presidents gave big contracts to big donors etc, Trump didn't, or at least nowhere to the same extent. Is this factually correct?
Please note that I'm not interested in discussing the politics etc, else I'd have posted in Speakers Corner; I just want the facts.
Your nephew has unfortunately been taken in by propoganda,

Your nephew has unfortunately been taken in by propoganda, let's look at policy versus big donor interests:
Giving some of the largest corporate tax breaks and forgiveness in US history
Talks about ending wars and putting America first - doesn't end wars and instead massively increases military spending to benefit the military industrial complex
Votes in favour of Big Pharma increasing their profit margins
When school massacres happen instead of putting up any legislation to stop this he talks about 'hearts and minds' because he doesn't want to hurt gun companies profit margins
All that aside he abused the Emoluments Clause by keeping his businesses and telling foreign diplomats they must stay in Trump hotels in order to meet with his government.
His son in law also did a huge corrupt scam with the Saudi's on his behalf but I'm forgetting the details.
This is basically Republican ideology, it's also how you stimulate an economy. When companies have more money they can invest more in R&D, employ more people, and generally grow the economy. It's absolutely basic stuff. Literally any government should want to tax as little as possible because that is the most efficient use of money.
Negotiated with Kim-Jong Un, literally stepping foot in North Korea shaking hands with him. Made a deal to end the war in Afghanistan, shame Biden handled the follow up so poorly. Essentially defeated ISIS. No war with Russia on his watch.
This is beneficial if you actually want things like, uh, vaccines, more money invested into R&D, more people employed. Companies use their money efficiently because their sole purpose is to survive and succeed. Governments do not do that.
When school massacres happen everyone goes out and buys more guns, when you threaten people with more legislation people go out and buy more guns. There's nothing a President can do except basically say a few words because of the 2nd amendment.
Ah yes, he must have raked in at least a few thousand pounds from arranging people to stay in his hotels, yet he also voluntarily gave up his salary, why would he do that if his sole purpose was to make money?
Okay? His son in law lol
