ok im being overly critical its a 4/5 game before the end. End was nowhere as good as the rest of the game. Didnt really like the over extensive use of quicktime sequences in events and fights. The "mini-game" stealth sections were a massive pain though.
 
I was going on about it for months and months and months and no one seemed that fussed at the time I just didn't understand it!

If you can't be bothered getting it thought live its available on the pc cheaply and of course pre-owned xbox for about a fiver or less.
 
This was the first game since Deus Ex where the demo absolutely blew me away, went out and got it straight away.

Unfortunately it does get a bit tedious towards the end which is a shame, i'll probably play it again one day though.
 
Awful game. Great initial gameplay, nice concept in the demo, all but utterly ruined by a laughable plot, painful stealth sections and tiresome, obstructive quick-time events. I wanted to play an adventure game, not Guitar Hero on a controller.

Kind of. The problem is they had to cut out about two weeks (or was it one ?) of story so most of the odder elements, (which would have been hard to take in dosed lightly) are just thrust in your face near the end in a clumsy manner.
 
Odd game in that it gets worse the further you go on! Starts off amazing but by the end you're just glad it's over :p

Would have liked to see a sequel though as maybe they could do a proper job with it rather than starting a good game then cobbling the finish together.

Exactly the same here, not often does playing a demo make me think 'I need this game'.
The end was weak but I still loved it despite its flaws.

Yup agreed it also seems to get similar to the matrix with all the Kung-Fu stuff at the end and the office sequence near the start.

The sneeky kid phases are such a pain as well did not like them one bit!

also the sex scene near the end with carla was just ******* odd, i mean in context why would that even happen? and lucas is dead but not? hmmmmmmm
 
3 i think...cant hardly remember played this a very LONGGGGG time ago.

i do remember though that the radically different endings arent that different at all. (yep this annoyed me at the time)

i liked the start trying to cover up the murder scene and also playing the detective hunting me down. Nice concepts and good atmosphere. Im hoping they can take the good stuff into Heavy Rain and leave out the dodgy stuff e.g. the over use of quicktime sequences. Its quantic dream though so i honestly think it will be a good un (Omikron: Nomad Soul developers)
