Fail DPD is fail

Had two deliveries from them via OcUK. Both were perfect, couldn't fault them. Especially the very first delivery which turned up in the snow and ice at Christmas time! :D

Had no problems whatsoever with DPD, much better than Citylink/fedex/pf in that they provide text/email updates and deliver in the morning.

I like DPD in my area. In fact, I like all the delivery companies besides:

-HDNL (impossibly bad - I arranged a pickup just before Christmas (22nd maybe?) - when did they pick it up? Something like the 3rd January. I paid nearly £30 for that 'service' and Parcel2Go ignored my complaint left with them completely. Oh, and then they took 5 days to deliver it, when it was a 2 day service. Needless to say I now use neither (use Interparcel - whose rates are pretty competitive and they have good contracts with UPS - who are great for collections/pickups - you can choose the time).
-CityLink (not great... massive delays over Christmas, despite DPD/UPS doing fine in my area)
-Hermes - just didn't feel very professional (some guy turned up in an old Mondeo, said he was here for the parcel, gave me the card receipt, so was genuine, but was slightly strange...)

So Mad!!!

Just phoned DPD to find out where my GTX570 is and its been put on the wrong trailer and they wont go find it for me to collect.!!!!

So Mad!!

Then sir i tell you what you can do...! you can personally find the parcel and bring it round in your car on Monday night when I'm home from work.... and amazingly he agreed!!

still no happy...

You are best dealing solely with the retailer. They have a contract with you to ensure that you receive your goods. It is up to them to deal with the courier

I think it has to do where one lives and the drivers they have. Like City Link never ever failed me on any delivery, be it from here or elsewhere I've bought things from. But as OC changed to DPD there must have been issues for lots of others, guess it's the same with DPD now.

never had any problems with my dpd man ' bob ' brought me a nice range of goodies last week including my new frozr 5850, always bang on time and very professional.
all delivery companys are going to have issues sometimes ;)
