If you don't revise, you won't pass.

Moral of the story? I got lucky. :p

lol most people i know havnt revised, myself included. All i did was check the dvla site, went through there online mock to see the test structure, and watched the DVD they sent, thats it. 34/35, 57/75 first time.

Unlucky neon, but you mustve been half asleep :D

Tom.

it was at 10am, i woke at 7am... so yeh, i hate tests ive always been good at practical work not theory pap.

sorry to hijack the thread, but i did my car theory test before the hazard perception test started.

I'm now gonna do my bike license, and need to do another theory test

How did you find the hazard perception part of the exam, is it easy? Don't really know what to expect although i've ordered a CD :D

You mean people actually fail the multiple choice theory test?

How is that possible?

What question did you get wrong...

'You come across a traffic accident. Do you:

a) Phone the emergency services
b) Drive past
c) Offer the drive a ciggerette
d) turn around and go the other way'

Seriously, its full of questions like that, how anyone can fail it is beyond me, even if you screw up the only complex questions there, the braking distances, you can still get up to 5 wrong!

I was in the same situation. Got my car licence years back, then went for the bike theory test. As has already been said, do the ones on the DSA site a few times until you consistantly get 35/35 on them. Then do the proper test.
I got 35/35 on the theory, and 65 on the hazard perception. It was a piece of cake. If you've been driving a while, hopefully you'll be able to spot a developing hazard easily enough.

yes i know but some i did get wrong? slate me if you want make me feel any worse?... yeh i did sucky i was 3 off a pass...

i hardly ever go out learning i dont have a car at home to learn in, and plus i dont have any clue really about road signs etc etc.

i didnt do any revision or any hazard perceptions before,.

i failed 1st aswell, though it was on hazard perception, and by 1 point lol, blitzed it 2nd time and passed practical 1st time so no real loss bar mockery from people saying its impossible to fail the theory

then surely you shouldnt have even bothered with the theory if you havent put any work into it?

Just buy a copy of the Highway code and read through it. It's not rocket science. You've learnt the hard way that assuming you know it all, dosn't make it so.

No, they require a little more thinking than that. But yeah a lot rely on common sense. But if you don't study the important stuff, that you can't guess, you actually stand a decent chance of failing.

There was no Hazzard test for me.

But the questions I got were stupidly easy.

I'm sure I had Fox's question, but I think one of the answers involved offering the driver a drink of vodka to calm them.

(saying that the day before the test I did not know what the NSL sign was for :D )

Multiple choice is never a real test its just a question of chance if you don't know the answer.

I was 100% sure I had passed when I rechecked my answers.
