In a One way Street. Got told to turn right at the end.

Mirror, Signal Move over a bit to the right. Failed me. Not moving right over >>>>.

The corner was strange. Had a Sharp corner to the Left and a sweeping corner on the right.

the lines are the edge of the road.
the "=" are the line for the end of the road.
[] = Parked Cars.

I Stopped where the Circle is. Failed for position... No one was around. i indicated and done all necessary safety checks. Think that's a bit harsh. Especially a "Serious" on the other hand a "Minor" would have seemed Appropriate.

i know :( The sloping part is meant to represent a sloping bend. That's what i thought. a minor. But apparently not. What a kick in the bullocks :( :(

I got the exact same fail when i went in for my test a few years ago. 0 minors but the sad old git failed me for that. I was well chuffed right after the test because i thought i'd pass easily. What made it worse was that it was the first junction after exiting the test centre, so the guy knew i'd failed 30 seconds into the test! I left too much space to my right. If anyone here did their test in Wigan they'll know what i mean!

Funny thing is, something very similar happened to me on my 2nd test but the examiner was a genuinely decent bloke and passed me!

Keep at it though pal.

Yeah just annoyed :( could have Took the L Plates off my Scooter...

That's gutting.

I Know, the road was as if... if you didnt know it. you would fail.
Like the distance from the car to the road ending was about 2 bike lengths. so you sort of had to know the sweeping bend was thier in order to do it. :( Really annoyed. but I got a test booked next month. Hopefully i pass!

How frustrating. Best of luck for next time.

I have my Mod 1 booked for the 11th/12th of June :)

I already had a practice getting up to 50km/h or whatever it is and emergency stopping whilst on my CBT road ride. Hit a little bit of loose road (soon to be pothole) combined with being a bit hard on the rear brake gave me a little skid :p

aha :) you should have no problem. i only failed on that because the bike was slow :( aha and i didn't practise at all because the instructors car park was too small. But yeah apart from that its a pretty easy test. Just keep your cool. Dont be nervous and go for it mate! im sure you'll do fine! i saw in the other thread the amount of training your doing. should be easily done :)

Tell us how you do when your done :)

Ta, it seems quite similar to basic drills that are done during the CBT.

When i was at the test centre today i saw someone doing it on a R6 with a tiny letterbox number plate and a Racing Exhaust! He failed... On the U-Turn ;)

Then this other guy fell off his bike on the Slalom. Completely laying on the floor. The guy couldnt pick it up, so the instructor had to come in and lift it up for him!

I was quite shocked that someone had the Guts?/Stupidity? to do their Module 1 on a R6. and the other guy must have been well gutted!

:( :(

Unlucky on failing but it's exactly this sort of thing that I was talking about in your other thread

There are several things that an examiner wants to see on a test and the only real way of knowing those things is to ride around for a day or two with an instructor talking in your ear, telling you exactly what you're supposed to do to impress the examiner. Every town or city has those weird bits of road that were designed on a Friday afternoon after a session at the pub, I remember being shown several of them before my test and I'm glad I was because sure enough I had to ride them on the day of my test.

A good instructor would've taken you on the various test routes and pre-warned you of anomolies like the one you failed on. Even though you only failed on one thing this time I'd recommend doing at least a days training before your retest, just so you can learn those odd bits of road otherwise you might be back here in a few weeks again. Might as well give yourself the best possible chance of passing next time.

Had my second Mod2 Today. Failed. :(

Was a Perfect ride, was really really impressed with my performance.

Failed me for turning Left out of a side road, apparently it was too wide. :( But i still stayed within my side of the road. There was no obstacles on the other side of the road to make a car come on my side. and the road was clear both ways. :|

I Then got 4 Minors for Doing 38MPH(35MPH by his Speedo) in a 40. and doing 28ish MPH (25MPH on his Speedo) in a 30MPH.
I Said i was doing 38/28 on both occasions and i said "even if i was doing 35/25 i still think the speeds are appropriate for the speed limits." but He Begged to differ and Gave the Response "Bikes are Fun, you should be doing 40Mph in a 40Mph".

:|

Oh well, ill just have to do another one. :(

What a ****!

TBH you should have told him to go and ****himself for that reason.

I bet your instructor wasn't to happy about that either.

If I were you I would go to a different test centre.

I do think its a Bit harsh. :| Especially when the ride apart from that turn was perfect. and of course the speed issue isnt an issue in my mind.

bike speedos all vary.

If your said 28mph then you would only be doing 2mph under the speed limit. that is no way a minor. His bikes speedo might be correct but he has to leave an allowance for the bikes that the testees are using.

I found out that my bike when showing 60mph is only doing about 55mph.
That was confirmed by a police officer on the bike safe course.
