From looking at these results would you agree the router is on its way out?

Cheers Bledd. I ran the tool you sent me and it picked up 3 wireless networks how ever they were all on seperate channels.

My network was on channel 11 + 7 & rssi -57
Neighbour 1 was on channel 1 & rssi -73
Neighbour 2 was on channel 36 + 40 and rssi 36+40

The router does sit at the bottom of the stairs and is kicked frequently by people taking there shoes of despite me telling them there break it if they keep doing it.

Any thing else I can check or is it time to look into a new router.

Things I'd try before getting a new router..

-Change the channel.. test it..
-Update wireless drivers on machines..
-Write down any usernames/passwords you need for the router and do a master reset / firmware upgrade too

My laptop gives odd latency if it's on battery and not plugged in. Really confused me as I rarely used it on power!

I think I may have solved it. I upgraded the firmware on the router and the ping times went back to normal. I will monitor it over the next few days and see how things go.

Cheers for all your help!
