Fake reviews to be illegal under new rules

Yeah reviews are worth nothing. Except filtering for low star reviews. Trust pilot isn't too bad as you can see how many reviews people have made and can often tell by language which are fake. But everything else? Might as well not bother.

Agree with other posters where you need to use forums.

Also. I doubt this will make a difference. How can it really be policed?

I ordered the item with next day delivery and it took 3 days.

1 star Review....

Worthless. I recently had to suffer all this whilst looking to buy a pair of ear buds, ended up coming here and posting a thread.
Someone replied, I took a gamble on their advice and I'm happy enough. :P

Can we do something about people who review unrelated things like the courier service instead of the product itself? Or similarly useless reviews like "only just got it I'm not sure if it's good", "really great perfect for what I need - 1 star", or complaining about the box/product being damaged instead of returning for an actual functioning one and reviewing the product as it was intended? It's pretty annoying that Amazon got rid of the comments function in the reviews section for this.

Would be nice if they also had the price at time of sale as mandatory in a review.

Often you see reviews about a product being great value for money but you have no idea how much they paid.

Seen one on Amazon the other day for some supplements, along the lines of "haven't used yet so I can only review the tablet, great looking tablet" 5 stars :o

Some of Argos Q&A are hilarious with someone asking a question and someone else replying with "I don't no mayb someone can help Hun"

Q&A sections are brilliant, especially the ones that send email prompts to people to answer the questions and you get the confused people who think they've been specially selected and must provide some sort of answer.
