not that fussed over the old friend of a friend thing, just seems like myspace, although I do see why it should be implemented, just that if they are advertising that as the main feature I have a feeling that a lot of people will be let down

I think this new friends thing is completely un-needed and a stupid idea. Its also worrying that they haven't announced anything else for the update :(

People might be disappointed with the features, but one of the most important things people forget is that there isn't a whole lot to fix. Everything works from the get-go, which is why there are only 2 updates a year on Xbox360.

Just 10 on my PS3 a year.

With added Teenybopper crap that a ton of people will never even bother with :/

The list that was floated around whether it was real or fake, had a lot of features that a lot of people wanted. Its a great operating system, but there is huge room for improvement and if thats their biggest offering, its a real shame.

updates are usually to fix or improve stuff, so why would anyone feel let down?.

Probably because there has been a list of loads of new features that has been doing the rounds for 3 months and it has not been debunked (loufly enough anyway) so I imagine some people (wrongly) have got their hopes up.

All I care about is VideoMarket Place which Microsoft said was coming to the UK/EU this year, and this is the last update of the year... (deep down I know they are going to fob us of with a substandard IPTV offering instead, but I can hope and at the same time not be too disappointed if they do this).

Clan support is important for a lot of people (I think many people have said it was not in Halo 3 or COD4 due to their being official dashbaord support coming), and general slowness of dashboard and or Live since Semptember (since Halo 3 came out) shoud be somethig I am hoping they can fix through this update.
I think theres always room for improvement, mainly divx support, also it wouldn't hurt them to whack a web browser blade on there tbh.
Web browser never gonna happen (at least in this update), but if it does for the love of god don't add a blade for it. Enough blades already.

DIVX support would be nice but if they whack in a web broswer then ill scream. FFS i use my 360 to play games, not fart arse about on the internet...its why i have a laptop sat next to me:p.

But really they dont need to put a web broswer and i hope they dont either...it would be a waste of time and space.

1440x900 would be nice, wish they'd at least say something about 16:10 resolutions, why release a vga cable (aimed at monitor users) then not support the standard widescreen ratio??
