fallout 3 help

I was really enjoying fallout until I finished the main quest and the credits rolled and it took me back to the title screen so I cannot carry on! wtf oblivion let you carry on after the main quest was done, I am only 15 hours into the game!

At the start this game seemed brilliant and now I feel let down compared to how good oblivion was.

I have barely explored the upper half of the map. Are there any factions I can join like I could on oblivion? (Like fighters guild, dark brotherhood etc).

So where should I head?

I will load an earlier save and won't bother with the main quest. I am only level 16 too...

You should have know this would happen if you did alittle research, but it happens to loads of people

When playing this game most people dont even do the main storyline first because once you finish it thats it!, they do all the sidemissions first, just go around the map and theres 100+ other missions you can do!

Theres going to be 3 expansion packs in total, The 3rd one which is out March/April will let you continue past the end of the game, like Oblivion!

Theres so much to do in this game, just dont do the main quests!

The way you said that suggests 2 expansions are out already?

Where can I go for loads of quests? I have done rivet city, megaton and the main quests and that is pretty much it!
Also can you improve skills and stuff when the level 20 cap is reached?

i just cant seem to get into this game at all.

hard to say where missions are as the locations change dependant on your rep level. If you can find a map onlien showing all the locations then there is a town not far from vault 101 called Arefu which gives you a decent mission and a couple of sub missions, also Greyholm or Grayhaven is a good misison.

There is a mod available that allows you to play after completing the main quest. I know this should have been in the game in the first place.

The March DLC (Most likely 800MS points) wast stated to remove the "End Game" and allow you to continue play after the main quest is finished.

1st DLC was Operation Anchorage, the 2nd not yet released is "The Pitt" is for March, and "Broken Steel" is due for April.
