Fallout 3 questions

Yeah stupidly I had no idea I could put stuff from my inventory in my house at Megaton until last night. :o

This was AFTER I had been to the super duper mart and took out the raiders there (those bottle cap mines are awesome). I was upto my limit of 220lbs of gear. I did manage to get some rather handy supplies though. I also managed to get all the weapons fromn there though, so it's not all bad.

I am now trying out Moira's repelant, and also trying to sort out those bloody fire ants. Hmmm I might return to Minefiled then.

EDIT: I also managed to pinch the assault rifle from the guard outside the station where the family were, he wasn't best pleased and chased me through the tunnel, but he ran straight into my mines. :D

I wouldn't use Bottlecap Mines on things like Raiders, I'd save them for the bigger enemies like Super Mutant Behemoths/Overlords, Deathclaws, and Albino Radscorpions. Anything other than them and it's pretty much overkill.

Yes they did make rather a mess of the raiders. :D

I have the schematics for it now from Moira so hopefully I will be able to make a few for future use.

I do have to admit, this game is awesome!

My only advice is to not rush through the main quest, but go out into the world and explore. Do all the side quests and have some fun first!

I second that. Anyone who didn't enjoy the game stuck to the main quest and teleported everywhere.

Try and go everywhere by foot if you can.. You'll soon discover new locations, collect side quests and beef up the experience points. When you have completed the main quest, start Broken Steel. It continues off where you left of and it extends the XP point cap from 20 to 30 :)

Love this game love it.

nothing like standing in a lake, forget you left the xbox on, come back from doing stuff downstairs and find out you've died from radiation poisoning..

God this game is infuraiting yet highly addictive. Trying to get to Arlington Library is a nightmare.

I just want to do EVERYTHING! I think I'm on track for doing well for the survival guide though. Done most of the optional quests for her except not managing to kill a Mirelurk.

I'm only level 5. Keep getting my ass handed to me by packs of Raiders. On my way to the library last night I came across a Raider with a pack of dogs and some massive bloody rocket launcher, I tried running away to pick off the dogs with my laser gun but got blown away.

It is fun sneaking around at night time.

sometimes it is best just to keep your head down if you spot a pack of raiders, provided they dont see you. just sneak past. obviously if you have the weapons, take em on! (i hate mirelurks..)

I hate mirelurks so much. I think I did that without killing one by just jumping down to the spawning pods and running back out as fast as I could.

I've only seen one Rocket Launcher equipped enemy so far, but he was in an area where there was also loads of cars. He'd fire at the cars and cause a MASSIVE explosion that would blow me across half the map.

Just wondering if there is any mod to make this game harder lol I found it a little to easy I the deathclaws were so weak :(

Set the difficulty higher?

A bit like Oblivion and most other RPGs it's very easy to create combat orientated 'power' builds for your character which make the hardest part of the game (the combat) much easier. The alternative to this is to play the game in a different style - try going for a geeky scientific explosives expert that's can't shoot for **** and has low strength. :p

That's pretty much my poor guy. He is a techy geek with level 50 hacking, he can charm the pants of anybody and also sneak around, but he aint very good with guns. :o

i know exactly where you mean :D is it near the main river? i also had the same problem. i just ran at him straffing left and right, and powerfisted him to death :p

i am exactly the opposite. awful at hacking, and sneaking, but awesome with weapons of all calibre. i'd prefer to kill supermutants, than have to duck and cover :p

Yeah that'll be the guy. I went for the slightly more cowardly option of running away since I was low on ammo and my character isn't good at melee.

i found a tesla armour last night, weird thing is, a raider was wearing it! this stuff is great. only level 12 too :p

Don't you need power armor training to equip it though? The only two ways you can get the power armor perk is at the beginning of Picking Up The Trail which is the quest where you go through the Lamplight Caverns to get access to Vault 82. The other way to get it is to finish the Anchorage quest in Operation Anchorage. Raiders shouldn't be able to use it as they lack the power armor training required to equip it.

Just curious as to how you managed to wear it without being too far into the game yet. :)

Edit: If you're playing on PC I just remembered there's a console command that gives you the perk.
