Does anyone know if FO4 will have a Crossfire profile on release?

I would like to be able to play at 4K, but I doubt just one of my 290X's will cut it.

didnt have anything in the latest 15.11 driver notes about anything relating to Fallout 4 Crossfire, so who knows at this point. If memory serves me correct, FO3 crossfire didn't work. I might be wrong on that though, was a while ago I played it and it might be different now.

Last time I checked there was still no elite dangerous crossfire profile so wouldn't hold your breath.

It will be ready when it's ready and it's not AMD's fault, got that? GOT THAT? :D

Rule of thumb with crossfire dont expect to play the game on release. At leats a month or 2 later or in elite dangerous 12 months and still waiting.

You need to consider that Elite Dangerous IS a niche game and cannot even remotely be classed as AAA. The fact it relied on Kicksater to get funded is testimony to this fact. I would love AMD to release more Crossfire profiles for niche games but won't hold my breath.

It's also the reason I stopped doing multi GPU on both Nvidia and AMD, I simply play too many simulations where other niche games and multi-GPU is almost always an issue regardless of vendor.

I don't think amd would be daft enough to go without a profile for launch day, they've been fairly good this year with the big releases.

Were still waiting for Elite Dangerous to get a Crossfire profile......I've the the previews of FO4 and subjectively speaking it's not exactly a tour de force in the graphics department, I reckon you could get away with 4K with one card with playable frame rates.

Very true
Not an AAA title, quite boring game play, yet people screaming about this every single time

Yet Nvidia have had a SLI profile for it for a year now...

Elite is somewhat niche certainly, but it's sold extremely well (perhaps over a million copies based on Frontier's last financial year figures) and has topped the Steam charts a number of times in 2015. That may not be AAA, but its a far from insignificant either.

Anyway, we can but hope for Fallout 4...

Can't really compare a smaller game such as Elite to a huge game like Fallout.

Elite Dangerous = Niche
FO4 = Nvidia sponsored Gameworks.

I would expect a CF profile to eventually work for FO4 but would not hold my breath for ED

As you allude to, sales do not a AAA game make. ED worked for me with Crossfire during Alpha and beta stage but there were minor issues that needed resolved. After release the CF got worse and while I agree AMD need to get their crap together re CF profiles, I would not get worked up about it. Yes Nvidia are marginally better in releasing M-GPU profiles but my own experience (including with ED) was that they are far from the perfection alluded to.
