I just was surfing through and found this idea and it dawned on me how epic it would be

London

If you've ever seen Children of Men, then you know that the British government is set to soldier on through the end times of the world. It only feels natural that this should apply to a the post apocalypse as well. There's no reason to leave London out of things, especially when you consider how tightly the United Kingdom always seems to come together during a crisis. Remember all of the actual fallout shelters built during WWII, and how there was the extended Blitz of Britain? Nearly nine continuous months of bombings did nothing more than strengthen the country's resolve.

But deep beneath the London tube system, farther down than the most rat-infested sewer systems lies: the British Vault Project. Originally intended to be part of the larger vault system in the United States, Britain's government quickly took over the control and installation of their own series of vaults, hiding them beneath existing public works excavations and projects so as to hide their construction. But due to tax cuts and setbacks, as the bombs start falling, they aren't complete yet. You have to scramble to find the last partially operational vault, and seal yourself inside while Big Ben collapses and Parliament explodes around you. Hidden beneath Trafalgar Square, you'll find that getting in is just as hard as getting out.

Imaging the tubes and underground would have a proper fallout 3 feel to it :D

Ideas people Good or Bad ??

You had me proper excited just by the "Fallout 4" title!

Hoping for a new FO game to be announced at some point.

Hellgate: London kinda did it albeit not very well.

I think with the amount of souce material to draw on, etc. there is a huge amount of potential for a game tho, lots of different historically connected and future areas that could tie into a bigger storyline.

Me too New vegas just doesnt cut it i really would love to see a whole new game engine as what you can mod the current engine to is like night and day seriously

Great, would love to see this.

I reckon the architecture of some of London's buildings would look awesome in a post apocalyptic scene. Like the picture in the OP, would love to play fallout in that.

new fallout game on the same engine as F3 and FNV = NO SALE

I never want to play in that damned engine ever again, its just broken to hell and looks like ass.

I know skyrim isnt an all new engine but its enough imo

Not sure why you're complaining, it's not that bad. I've had a few bugs, yes, but they're mainly to do with Wine. Compared to most other games i've played the graphics are frankly amazing.

Bugs me that so many post-apocalypse games are set in America.

The atmosphere in Hellgate was fantastic, despite its other flaws, and in movies, stuff like 28 Days Later resonates a lot more because its so close to home.

Give me Fallout London before any nuked 50's America any day.

What games have you been playing?

because when you have the likes of BF3, Crysis 1+2, Witcher 2, Metro 2033, Arkham City, and numerous other games. you'll find the New Vegas does indeed look like arse. It will be appalling if they rehash the same engine, I don't even think Skyrim looks 'that' fantastic for what it should have been.

a modded Oblivion looks miles better than New Vegas, you know its just wrong when a 4 year old game is better looking...

Back on track, nice concept, fit's well and would definitely be an interesting scenario, I can some comical moments purely from the cockney accent alone.

Definitely.

Those titles you mentioned are indeed graphical heavyweights of the gaming world and built upon some of the best game engines.

Modded fallout :nv is better than modded oblivion?

Apples and oranges isn't it

Agreed, I personally think that NV IS one of the most graphically stunning games I have ever played. I remember thinking that looking at my monitor mounted on the wall and thinking it looked more like a window to the post apocalpytic world outside.
