Just tried this again recently. Does anyone else suffer with a slight delay whenever open crates and what feels like a split second delay between a bullet hitting anemones? Sorry if that's a big vague, but I'm trying to work out if my setup has an issue.

Sounds like typical Fallout/ElderScrolls/Bethesda jank to me... Not played in a while so can't confirm but it does sound likely it's their engine and not your PC.

I've only been playing it a week but have noticed the odd delay between firing the shot and the target reacting, more so at point blank range with the shotgun than with a rifle over distance.
I just assumed it was the standard Bethesda experience more so than lag.

If you gone from playing one of the single player fallouts and jumped into fallout 76 it'll feel like that.

I don't know the exact reason but latency, sever side net code or whatever.

Check it's not running on borderless windowed mode as it seems to default to that which hammers performance.

But even then, yes it's laggy. You will get used to it though quickly.

I got fallout 76 for a bargain, and despite all the negativity, I didn't think it was that bad.

Probably would have been better posting in that thread instead of creating a new thread.
