Falout 3 or New Vegas, which should I buy

Thinking of grabbing one or other of these on the current steam deal

Fallout 3 Game Of The Year Edition = £14.99
New Vegas = £11.24

Never played either, currently erring on the side of 3 GOTY.

Am I wrong?

I dont believe the stories are particularly interlinked, therefore it is not necessary to play them in "order".

I have not played F3, but am currently really enjoying New Vegas, so thumbs for NV from me.

F3 kills NV hands down, but they're both still better than a lot of what's out there.

Get 3 then get NV if you enjoyed 3 when the GOTY version comes out. Can't go wrong with either to be honest though.

You don't really need to play them in order. Both games are great but I think NV is slightly better (just finished it last week and according to steam clocked 80h doing most of the quests)

Fallout 3 over Vegas any day, especially the GoTY with all the DLC packs.

NV was very meh to me after 3.

If you can, I'd buy both.

But if it's a choice of one or the other only, then FO3 GOTY, as it has all of the DLC included already.

Fallout 3 easily. NV is just an utter buggy pos from the outset. Couldn't believe how poor the thing was from the moment I fired it up. Felt and looked like they'd let some clown loose with the game's construction kit. Harsh but very true.

Agreed, but with 20 mins of modding it is fantastic.

+1 for Fallout 3 GOTY, couldn't get into NV at all, F3 had me gripped the whole way.

I preferred fallout 3 GOTY. Get 3 first, not because its before new vegas. its just better! new vegas is also good but didnt enjoy it as much as 3.

I enjoyed both but I agree with the plot and general setting of it all being better than FO3. Although I've only completed the original versions of both games so haven't touched the DLC.

Loved both games, still playing NV, get both or if only one then NV for me.
