false start on power up- problem!??!?

Hi Guys,

Last week I built a pc and it was fine for the first few days,

but now it doesn't power up correctly,

the power lights and fan flick on and then off for half a second before it powers up properly

its wierd and annoying and i also worry about the state of my chips inside if there is rogue electricity flying around inside my case.

has anyone ever heard of this? ive heard of pcs not powering up but i've never heard of one doing a double take like mine does,

please help me

Mine does this regularly. Are you by any chance using a P5B deluxe motherboard or enermax liberty PSU?

P5B Deluxe? Update to latest BIOS, it sorts it...

weird one though, i'm actually using a sonata 2 as well, could the case possibly be to blame?

from a completly cold start my ds3 sometimes powers on then off for a couple secs and then back on again. I believe its to do with thte bios checking settings etc.
Dunno if its related.

I have a ds3 and get exactly the same thing. When I startup, system fan 1 and Cpu fan move a little bit then stop, before starting to spin properly. No idea if it's a real problem or not...
