False widow spider - newest scaremongering?

I'd imagine it'd have to be a fair size and bite someone in a thin area of skin to be able to penetrate the human dermal layer. Basically, the sort of size that you'd tend to notice.
 
as said by others its more like a bee sting if it bites you and they are very common 99.9 percent of people would be fine its just some people who like bee stings can react badly to them.

i can remember at school we used to catch these on sticks and play with em :D

they are easy to find.
