Commissario
I'm a member of a few other forums, a couple of them are much larger than OcUK and the rest are far smaller.
It occurred to me the other day that I have no idea who any of the moderators and administrators are on the other forums. I looked on a couple to see if I could find out who they were but it really wasn't obvious. I find this a bit odd and wonder why they do that. I was approached a few months ago to be a moderator on one of the larger ones but that approach was from a generic account, not an actual user account. I use the report function a fair bit there and the responses to reports (whether accepted or not) are always a standard reply with no indication who's dealt with it.
We're very open here about who's an Underboss, Don or Commisario. The entire team is listed in the forum rules and we don't hide. It's just how we've always done it.
What do you think, is it better to be open the way we are or to keep that sort of thing quiet like a lot of other forums?
