Breach of contract => eviction.

I don't see why there's a problem? Member of family breached contract, now they get evicted, seems pretty fair to me.

If every landlord activated this clause, there would be hundreds of thousands of homeless people roaming the streets.

If a serious crime was allowed to be committed by the tenants within the confines of their home, like drug dealing etc, then fair play. But I still think it's unfair that his family are punished for his crime, even though technically it's in the agreement.

I agree with the OP, it doesn't sound fair at all. While it might be legally correct, it doesn't make it morally right.
