Family spec

Looking for a new family PC to replace an ageing Dell. Will keep keyboard and monitor which have both been replaced already. Have a budget of £800 and the main uses will be internet, e-mail, a little speadsheet work, cd/dvd burning and photo processing, occassional games like Football Manager!

Would like it to be quiet and in a proper case.

Here is my first attempt, done very quickly, please be gentle with me

I'd spend a bit extra and get the 7600gt as well as a seagate 7200.10 hdd

Are u planning on overclocking it at all?

Probably not, just find this a great place for hardware

With the criteria you mentioned I very much doubt you will ever need 2G of RAM; always good to future proof as much as possible though. Could save yourself a bit more there.
