fan control software

Is it possible to control the speed of the fans plugged into your motherboard through an app? if so is there any recommendations?

You can use speedfan.

Motherboards also come supplied with the manufacturers programs that will do the same.

thanks mate, board is a gigabyte one. would I be better off using that or are they pretty much all the same?

Speedfan is one that gets reccomended a lot, havent used it myself tbh. Or gigabytes for that matter. Im more familiair with asus software, (ai suite fan expert). Though on my current setup i use a manual fan controller.
