whats a good program to control 3 pin fans?

just got a noctua today and connected to the 3pin power fan on mobo

and its only running at 1000 rpm

how can i speed it up?

Well for starts what Noctua fan are we talking about specifically? Model and size?

You can usually control the fan speed from the mobo? Have you got some kind of fan control option enabled in the bios? That may be slowing your fan down.

If not, Speedfan is quite a good piece of software that lets you control all sorts, and has auto options that work quite well.
