Fan controller - multiple fans / channel

Am I right in assuming if a fan draws 1w, I can connect 10 of them on a 1x10w channel?

Yes but you shouldn't go quite so close to the limit as that really. Maybe 80% of capacity would be acceptable.

Looking at a 10w/channel controller and just want to make sure it will run 2 x 120mm fans per channel.

Most fans are 0.2-0.3A so that's generally 3-4W each. Faster fans generally need more power so watch for that.

According to the spec it pulls 1.45W That possible?

1400 rpm fan so yes it's entirely possible.

You'll certainly be ok for 2 per channel and probably will be for more than 4 with comfort. The more load the channel has though usually means the more heat that the fan control circuit will need to dissipate for that channel. So if you have 8 fans in total it's best to load them evenly across several channels rather than slapping all 8 on one channel and leaving the others empty.
