fan controller question

Solved initial problem of installing the fan controller. But now i have powered up and theres a constant horrible buzzing sound after the bios, it sounds like some kind of warning sound. What does this mean and what can i do about it?

Thanks!

Does it go away if you remove the fan controller?

might be worth listing your ful specs so we can see what you have

well i went into bios and disabled all the fan controls the mobo has, this solved the buzzing noises, and hw monitor says that temperatures are fine.

only problem is, despite turning fans down its still sounds like a hoover! im thinking its either the psu fan (OCZ stealth xtreme (not so stealth)) or the gpu fan.

Is there anything i can do about these fans?

If your gpu uses the drivers auto fan features i doubt it will be fan on that, as my fan on my gpu when not in use runs @3% can't hear the thing, only when it go's over 50% do i really noticed it. HD 4670 btw, so if its an ati card and u have left catalyst to sort fan out it won't be that, same for nvida if u used there stuff to auto fan.

Id probably guess its the Psu, mine is'nt the quietist either, the 2 things i can hear when i turn all my case fans right down is a gentle hum from my PSU and water Pump.

ahh, well i got the ati 4870, so i guess you are right.

is there anything i can do about the psu fan?

I guess depending on the case, if its bottom mounted psu, u could try installing it the other way so fan is either up/down to what it is now, and see if thats any better.

Apart from that nothing really to do, unless u wanted to open it up and replace the fan, but id highly advise not to do that, as it will void ur warranty, and is also dangerous if u don't know what u doing.
