So I am getting a CPU coolers soon (Noctua NH-D14) I undterstand that this will be quite a lot quieter than my current cooler (Stock AMD). That is all well and good now on to the real question.

The case I have (Aerocool Sixth Element) has 2 140mm Case fans (Aerocool Shark White) and they are not over loud just omnipresent. The fans are emitting the sound through the case. It's a low vibration. They are mounted with metal screws. I was wondering if was to get some rubber "screws" (like these Rubber Screws) for the fan would it isolate it enough to knock the sound down? Failing that are there and pretty quiet but also reasonably powerful 140mm case fans that would get a recontamination.

LED in the fan are not even nearly necessary but if it just so happens...

Thanks in advance for any help/opinion offered.

Rubber Fan mounts or Rubber Screws will definitely help with reducing vibration from the Fan. If you put a bit more pressure on the fan, that should show you if vibration is the cause of the sound.
I agree with Remote_zero; I can't see how rubber screws will make the fans any louder, so at £2.50 they're worth a punt if vibration is the cause. Cheaper than replacing the fans outright.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah like you figured If I apply pressure the vibration goes away along with most of the noise. It will never be 100% silent but I can give it a shot. Sure I will just bundle in the rubber screws with the CPU cooler.
