I've got a Sapphire x1950 Pro in a Gigabyte EP45-UD3 mobo.

If I run something that stresses the graphics card it crashes with temps > 120.

If I run Ati Tool and override fan speed based on temps, its tops out and is perfectly stable at ~ 93.

Is there any way to set the fans to dynamic without running Ati Tool?

Thanks

I know some have flashed the video bios to get the fan running at 100%, also the usual advice to clean out the heatsink grill with compressed air, replace the thermal grease and put extra heatsinks on the video ram.

You could set up profiles in Rivatuner, so that the fan picks up when it gets to a certain temp, and i think you can also have it loaded at startup (the profile), so that you don't have to keep starting up Rivatuner everytime.

You can make shortcuts too, to enable the modified fan and/or your overclock (or even a "only browsing the web" underclock) to be activated at will.
