Hi all, just started thinking about the speed/RPM my Akasa Piranhas run at as above certain %, they do become audible.

I have all the fans(9 in total) connected via 4 pin headers on my motherboard, alebit on splitters.

Im wondering if I set the PWM to 40%, what is the actuall RPM the fans run at?

Website states that the fan speed range is 600-1900, so at 40% is it running at around 900RPM or around 1300RPM?

I ask as I mentioned that they get audible after a certain %, just not sure at what speed and I contemplated on getting thicker rads and running them on lower speeds.

Since my AX series rads shine at higher fan speeds compared to thicker rads with lower fpi.

Thanks

Are they all running via PWM? I found the piranhas to be pretty loud after 1500 rpm. On my asus board i used ai suite to set the fan profile. In fan expert i was able to see what speed % related to when tuning. All fans were ran of the cpu header using a PWM splitter.

Yeah, running it on an MGV board using Fan Expert.
I have them at 40% but when it gets to 50% or higher, I can hear them.
Just checked Fan EXpert and I didnt know there were other options beloew on the right hand side, shows fan speed of CPU OPT at sub 900RPM, at 40%.
Thanks

I used one of the pre set profiles in fan xpert, for my board thers, silent, standard and turbo. CPU OPT fan mirrors the CPU fan header as i have dual corsair sp PWM fans connected to theese headers.

I'll check the presets for the fans.
Yeah, I have my ddc pump connected to the Cpu fan header via a splitter along with 4 other piranha fans.
And it's showing 3900rpm :o

I can only assume that the pump has a higher rpm than the fans, therefore its speed is being displayed as its higher than the max of 1900 rpm on the piranhas.
