Is it possible to buy cables that will allow one fan power cable to be split into 2, to power 2 fans? As my fan controller will only control 2 fans.

Not really, its not too bad.
But £2.79 for second class is a bit too much methinks.

Youll just have to upgrade something and add the cable ;)

Like a shiny new 500gb hd.

For an item that costs 1p to manufacture?

I could make one myself for less.

I doubt you could. Seriously. Even at trade prices for single pieces you're looking at 50p in parts and even if you cost your own work in at 5 minutes at minimum wage you're still looking at another 50p. Do also bear in mind that Akasa and OcUK both have to take a profit, that they shipped that part from the far east and that the UK Revenue & Customs took their chunk both when it was imported in duties and when it was sold in VAT.

I'm trying to start manufacturing a cheap (under £15 at retail) 6-way PWM fan controller at the moment and you would be horrified how expensive it is to get something made in the far east. The labour cost is indeed tiny, but that just means that the cost of the parts and packaging suddenly become stupidly expensive in proportion by UK standards. Add in about £6000 for proper type approval, product liability insurance, shipping and taxes and it's actually quite hard to sell something that specialised really cheaply in the UK.

The cheapest way to do what you want to do is to splice multiple fan cables into one three-pin header. That way you don't need any extra parts, just a soldering iron and maybe a little solder.

I've already found places selling them for 99p. So I can't believe that.

But not made in the UK. Remember you only want 1 female IL 3-pin connector and 2 Male IL 3-pin connectors - buy things in 1s and 2's and you pay through the nose. Buy them in the thousands that they do in the far east and you probably will get the connectors for 1-2p each. But to say you'll make it for 1p isn't realistic I'm afraid.

What a difference those 2 extra fans made! Used to be sitting at 40oC idle. Now I know my case cooling is working properly. :D
