So I've got a full loop in my Primo with cpu and 2 780ti's. There's 3 rads in there all running push/pull and I'm not convinced by the airflow I'm getting through the rads.

I'm currently toying with the idea of changing some fans to see if this improves things any. So the first one would be the Mayhams Havoc 480 has 4 Corsair SP120's in the roof pulling air out and 3 F9 120's pushing air through. Do you think changing them all to the Silverstone blue or the OC UK black versions would make any difference at all? Running at around 1,000 rpm there's very little air movement and when it's running at full load what does come through is very warm.

For roughly £40 do you think I'd notice much difference at all?

Thanks for the response.

15-20 degrees delta-t on the water depending on load. Which I still think is high compared to some systems I see. Please remember this is with a 480 havoc, 240 Havoc, 280 XT45 all running push/pull in a primo full tower. At around 1,100rpm, with quite a lot of noise but not much movement on low fpi rads I would've expected low to mid 30's on water temp, not high 30 to low 40's. If I run them at full speed of over 1,500rpm it drops quite a few degrees lower, but I can't cope with the noise.

Some people don't rate the sp120's and I know the artics are cheap so I wondered if a cheapish change would make a difference and might be worth a try.

I really dont see a problem there. The temp is still pretty low. I run 4 rads in my 900d and all my fans are on 40% speed. Pc is super silent. And i get 60 on cpu (i7 4770k @ r.4) full load and around 42 on my 980. ( had 670 sli which was about 40's). Room temp at 20-25. All temps are very low and safe.

I dont think you changing the fans will change much. Unless u run higher rpm. Which means a lot more noise. The best reason in my opinion for.watercooling is to keep noise to the lowest possible while still maintaining good temps.

Unless your system is suffering from temps. I think your current fans are enough and changing wont be worth it.

I am using 8 arctic F12s at 1100rpm (whilst gaming) on a XSPX RX 360 (push pull) and alphacool ut30 240mm (pull) in a h440 which massively impedes airflow.

For the price they are amazing. They replaced a bunch of Noctua P12s and F12s.

I would be concerned about your delta temps. My CPU delta is about 40C but my GPU is always less than 10, normally about 8C.

Cheers Disco.

That's my water delta, so 15-20 degrees higher than air temp. In a warm room of 24-25 degrees the water gets to 40-45 under full load like Witcher 3. My CPU and GPU is probably similar to yours in delta above the water temp. But I'd just like to try and bring the water down a bit.

Maybe I'm just fiddling for the sake of it as it's been running for a few months now and I'm bored. :)

15-20 degree delta on your water seems rather large considering the excessive amount of rad space you have, although corsair SPs aint great, having so many across so many rads should perform better IMO.You sure your getting good flow from your pump?

Cheers MrMD, my thoughts exactly. The Delta just seems higher than I expected. Hopefully the flow should be okay, I have 2 D5's running around level 3-4, one in the res and the other half way round the loop.

Andybird123, I'd have to have 2 corsairs and 2 arctic next to each other and the OCD in me would rebel.

I think I might try new fans for the hell of it.

So next question, are the EK varders worth twice the price of the OCUK silverstone specials? The reviews of the OCUK ones are okay but seem to lack a bit of flow through the rad. If I buy 3 sets of 3's it's £48 for the OCUK and £93 for the EK Varders. That would do the big 480 and leave me spare old fans to do a proper match on the 240.
