Fancy a new mobile, what do you guys reckon?

MMS and SMS are antiquated and need to die off. The sooner everyone gets dragged up to free internet-based messaging, the better :p

I was drole enough to ask the guy in the Vertu shop in Wynn Las Vegas if that price came with bundled minutes.

He looked unimpressed (I think he'd heard it before)...
 
People buy them because they can (like most other expensive things), you can buy others that do the same for far less but they are also widely available to the average Joe public. You can buy a car as fast as a Ferrari for much less, but it's not a Ferarri.

It's similar to that, but a phone :)
 
Im not so keen on Vertu... Other than the concierge service which you can get through quintessentially anyway theyre a bit naff. My personal opinion is that theyre rather nouveau riche but each to his own. The features it offers aren't that brilliant either. I would rather an iPhone which offers so much more. Spend your £10k on beer and hookers instead ;) ......or 1k on beer and hookers and 9k on private hospital care afterwards :D

Theres an app for iPhone called MMS which facilitates this. You have to pay though...like £2.99 for 10 messages orrrrrrr...........you could just send an email! Which I prefer.
 
Thing is, since none of you will be buying them anyway they don't care what you think.

If you want a phone that very very few others have then they are for you, if you have the money it's a non issue anyway.

I wouldn't buy one (far better things to spend money on!), but as with everything some people can afford them and will buy them (or be given them free = advertising).
