Fancy buying a new PS4 or Wii U game! What to get?

As title really, whats the best you have played this year?

Ive been playing destiny and diablo a lot but want something else. Destiny just wasnt for me and diablo will be played from time to time!

Wii u is getting dusty, so maybe something on there! I only have mk8 and windwaker so open to suggestions!

Also got my eye on mordor maybe!
 
Take a look at shadow of mordor for the ps4.

Have you played the last of us? Truley fantastic game!

I've been looking at shadow of mordor and it seems to be getting really good reviews, but there are also plenty of decent games coming to Wii U.

Bayonetta 2 for one, but that's in a few weeks.

Definitely consider Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze if you've ever liked platformers - challenging and a lot of fun.

I'd have to disagree with oldestgregg to some degree regarding 3rd party games. Although there's not many, they're not always that much cheaper elsewhere and the assassins creed, batman games and ME3 for example make decent use of the gamepad (e.g. to show the map), adding some extra value to the game. Rayman Legends is great on the Wii U too.
Deus Ex looks pretty good on the Wii U also (ex1, ex2, ex3), has extra features and makes good use of the GamePad. It's an oldish game so doesn't look that much better on PC imo, not without mods.

The Last of Us Remastered is a beautiful game in more ways than one.

Maybe wait until Friday and pick up Drive Club which is looking good.

If you're into sci-fi horror, Alien Isolation is out on Tuesday.
 
3D world for sure, Mordor is getting a lot of praise because it happens to be the only game out on PS4 in recent times.
 
Op dont forget if you have Ps plus you will be getting a version of drive club on the 7th for ps4! might be worth taking into account before buying a game for it!
 
Thanks for all the suggestions :) currently awaiting completion of a house purchase thingy majiggy so cant buy them all, should probably buy a fridge though.. Priorities :P

Will try the drive club ps plus edition for sure!

I think mordor looks decent but agree with a chap above that its a new game on the new consoles so may be seems better than it actually may be? Unsure though, looks fun!

I have quite a lot of friends playing this at the moment with a lot of hours behind it and all of them seem very happy with it.

I am looking forward to playing it myself but have to wait a little while yet D:!

Will be nice to see how the reviews/opinions change within this time gap

dont forget either the masterpiece that is The last of us. As i have said on several of the console game threads The last of us is my personal favorite game of all time! if you haven't played it, you NEED TO PLAY IT especially the new ps4 version

Agree on the last of us, as mentioned i have played through on both ps3 and ps4 :) thanks for suggestion though!
