Right i know you will have all been asked this before but I want some advise on cooling my system! I have x2 akasa 120ml ambers but I was thinking about adding some fans in the top of the case so what parts do I need to do this and how do you actually fit them? i.e blowing in or out? Also it would be great if any of you guys could advise me some really good fans as I need to keep it very very cool! :D

Cheers

Cut out two circular holes in the top panel. Using a hole-saw or a dremel if you have a steady hand, just smaller that the fan it self so the fan looks like it fits nice. Or 1 hole depend on how many fans you want in there.

Drill 4 holes using a drill where the screw holes are for the fan on the panel.

Use these to hold the fans in place.

You will also want 2 of these to put over the fan. Or maybe 4 of them if you want them underneath the fan.

Shame you ant buy top panels for eclipse aswell as side
speaking of which my maxi view arrived today not too impressed
it doesnt fit flushthe bottom right feels about 1 cm out and moves about.
I for one don't see the need to the cooling performance without it is fine on mine.

74mm Hole for 80mm Fans, 114mm Hole for 120mm Fans.Don`t forget that the 120mm includes the Fan Frame ;)

Depending on your modding "skillz" and what temps need to be fixed you may be better off just getting the thermal side panel (one with the fan) or using high performance fans in place of the ambers.

You can also get a "Scythe Kama bay" which fits in 3x CD/DVD bays and acts as an additional air intake (temp reduction is dubious, especially with the supplied fan).

well thanks guys but how many 120mm fans would i be able to get in the top? and would this be better than 2 or 4 80mm fans? also what high performance fans are you talking about as i thought the ambers were very good?

I put one 120mm in the top of the last one i did, as an Exhaust Fan,as for Fans,i`ve finally found a reliable source for Yateloons, nuff said :D
