Fantasy Football 08/09

8.8m might be a lot for a striker but the other players around 7m+ aren't renowned goalscorers such as Carew + Adbangawhore although both could have decent seasons this year the way Villa are playing currently.

I'm so glad I stuck with defoe and his first couple of games where he didn't score. Great little player at 8m (which i bought him for).

Robinho has gone up from 9m to 9.3m in the space of 2/3 games already. I think thats a bit soon to start boosting his points up already but we'll see

I really want to get rid of Corluka before his price starts plummeting but theres not many decent defenders around for 5.6. I could get the Aston Villa player Davies but I already have laursen and dont want 2 defenders from the same team cause your asking for trouble unless its liv/manc/ches. Spurs have got Hull next week though so there might be a chance of a cleansheet there but you never know with spurs and even Hull now after their last game

Just joined - Don't know why I didn't think of looking for the OCUK league earlier. Looks like i'm sitting about 40th on 279 points.

As per usual my team is a pile of ****, currently sitting in about 134th place in the OCUK league with yet another 34 points scored. Thank god for Defoe, Campbell and van Der Sar otherwise i would be in even more trouble.

Need to sort out my midfield and other striker as i am getting no points from them at all.
 
deco should be back before the next gameweek. he's been selected for the portugal squad too, but i don't think he'll be ready for the 1st qualifier but should be for the 2nd one, which is a few days before the league matches.

edit: i want to buy him before the next gameweek too, but i'm waiting for his value to drop more!
