Fantasy Football 09/10

So I made 3 changes to my team this week which deducted 4 points from my total (I hadn't made a transfer the week before so got to make 2 free ones)

Players I took out;

Bent = 13 points
Valencia = 17 points
Song = 9 points

Players I brought in;

Rooney = 11 points
Diaby = 2 points
Traore = 2 points

28 points lost and that's without mentioning the 15 points for Hunt who's sat on my bench. This game makes you feel so crap at times :(

EDIT: Having taken a further look into it I'm only actually 10 down on what I have got anyway which has made me feel a little better

73 with Danny Murphy playing again which should be 2 more points!

Was busy over Xmas so I forgot to change captain from Drogba to Rooney last week for both games! Cost me 15pts, teach me for stuffing my face!

But I do have 2 free transfers meaning I can swap out Toure and Drogba without charge!

I got 76 (-4 for 2 transfers), not bad with Sorensen + Shaw X to play again. If they could have kept a clean sheet against Birmingham I could have been heading for 100+ points!

66 points this week, rooney is definatley raking in the points for me. im creaping up the ocuk league, made up 50 places in about 3 weeks and i might break the top 100 and 1000 points next week!

new team with 5.6 in bank

Wish I'd brought in Nasri instead of Diaby now, I had the cash but felt Nasri was maybe a bit overpriced considering he hadn't scored until last and I'm never sure if we he start every match when Rosicky, Arshavin, Walcott, Eduardo etc are all fit.

Ditching Song also backfired :eek:

I'm in the top 200!!

Hope it stays that way now, I just can't help myself making loads of transfers costing me loads of points, not going to make more than 1 change a week from now on (new years resolution lol).

My advice on that front is to:

a) Delay transfers until shortly before the deadline so they can get the latest injury/team news
b) Think medium-term when doing your transfers, i.e. have a rough plan of changes you want to make over the coming weeks
c) You can do two transfers one week if you make none the previous, can be useful if you don't have cash in the bank but want to 'upgrade' one of your players (i.e. you replace a second player with someone cheaper to free up the money, without it costing you any points).

Cheers, I'm pretty happy with my mid field and forwards atm, since I put Valencia it's a solid midfield, just need a bit of work on the defence now.

I've made SO many transfers... :(

QUESTION!

So if i have 3 defenders, 5 midfielders and 3 strikers.

Say one of my strikers is a sub and they do well...will i get less points because he was a sub? :o

I have Rooney, Defoe and Bent.

People with Hangeland/Pantsil, Fulham find out tomorrow about how long their injuries are, Pantsil rumored to be the season.

I had 9 players playing twice until Song ran away and Sorensen duffed his finger. And to top it off, when Dempsey didn't start I was fuming! Thank god he scored a goal, just a bit miffed that Zamora didn't do anything else and Etherington only got 1 assist out of the 3 goals.

Gallas, Taylor and Arshavin (C) still to go.
