Im screaming IM UP TO 4TH!!!! Probably would have been a better weekend if rubens hadnt totaled his car (or that man hole totaled it for him) and if schui had just held out for 7th....
I'd half forgotten about it. Haven't changed my side around and have been far too busy just enjoying the great racing to worry about the fantasy F1 side!
Contrary to what I've said earlier in the thread, I've found that the 'make transfers' strategy has turned out to be highly flawed in practice.
The dynamic pricing system they've got in place simply doesn't allow for remedial transfers, it only rewards speculative ones. Once a driver starts to lose value, you're less likely to be able to afford someone that would allow you to at least keep up with the leading fantasy teams.
This wouldn't be so much of an issue if the pool of choices were larger, as in fantasy football, but when there are only 7 or 8 drivers in with a realistic shout of decent fantasy points, it creates a feedback loop which makes gaining ground on leaders nigh-on impossible.
Should have thought it through and gone for the 'fire and forget' strategy, tbqfh. That'll teach me to try and be clever. Hey ho.
My fire and forget one has cost me though in the last few races Webber not finishing in Valencia, MS (despite being the same price as Rosberg at the) start has cost me so many points and alonso being a fool isnt helping much...
At least my faith in Rubens has been justified (as some back up) as id be out the top ten all together...
Still hope for a webber 1st alonso 2nd in germany...
