FAO Moderators - New Sub-Forum Idea

I beg to differ, I think it would be a very busy forum if it was created, you only have to look at the number of active logs going already and how many people would create one

Doesn't seem to be as much interest in this though?

There are more logs being created as time goes, a regular place for them would increase encouragement.

I think the lack of interest from the mod team is likely due to a lack of moderator that understands the benefits that this could provide. Bring back FF!

Plus the people who currently haven't logged through the fear of their log blocking the SA (Lolz) will then be free to log at thir hearts content possibly creating more interest in the logs in general. It's nice to see all the different routines going on and the sweet gains they've created.

+1

Exactly the above, I think the fact that far more people will be encouraged to make a log therefore potentially sticking to a diet/plan more would be reason alone

I'd love to be mod :(

I think there just needs to be representation from the area as it growing lots recently. More new people are posting all the time which can only be a good thing :)

I did mention this in the GD nominate a UB thread but no visible notice was taken.

Looking at existing logs is what made me start mine/give me the motivation to get stuck in! I can't wait to look back at it in a years time to see how far I've come and if it helps others, even better!!

We need a weightlifting mod to fight our cause...

I will raise the issue and see what they say :)

I can certainly see the benefit, but I also see these forums getting diluted with an increasing number of sub-forums.

That isn't necessarily a bad thing though. There is no benefit from having 15+ logs cluttering up the main SA forum as i see it. The people who aren't interested don't click them (but have to go back 2-3 pages to find the ones they are interested in), and the people that are interested will go in the dedicated subforum to read them and post in their own.

It's a lot different to most sub-forum requests because this would be for long term, ongoing threads rather than a large number of frequent new threads, so it wouldn't really affect the main SA 'traffic'. For example we wouldn't necessarily want a weight lifting subforum because then it would remove a lot of interest on threads such as 'i want to get fit HELP' which draws knowledge from all kinds of sports people at the moment be it gymming, cycling etc.
