I sent an email to a mod of this forum in regards to the poor state of it currently. Is something going to be done regarding this?

Basically and I'm sure other members will agree, that the community has gone down the drain and without a mod 'prescence' people can get away with more than any other forum. Even though this is the third biggest forum on OCuK (behind GD and Motors) it's not treated as that.

There needs to be more prescence and more moderating on the front line (i can't tell what goes on in the back of the forum, so offer opinions on that). After Mistadave left, his void has yet to be filled.

I can't honestly tell you the last time I saw a mod post in here, it adds to the prolems which the forum is having.

Please try to help the forums, we need them to florish, else this part of the community will fade away.
 
The amount of RTM's that have been ignored is quite sad tbh :(

NathanE was in the other day, isn't he a mod??

Anyway Windle made one of the a few weeks ago and the mods came along and said 'Nothing to see here, all is fine, we are busy' and went on their way.

I agree, i wont post my thoughts - because about 6 threads ago (all like yours) i voiced them, nothing was done and it was closed.

Everytime this thread comes up the same arguements etc.. are said - its closed - someone is banned and nout is done.

A few weeks later, thread pops up again
 
Dont you see.. we run amock.. while the rest of the forum is scrutinized.. this forum section is the forum balance! If you start to moderate the consoles you disrupt the forum balance and OcUK towers leans slightly more to the left!
 
Yes it is, some severe trolling/baiting going on. Maybe post in GD asking for a mods attention?

Yeah everything that could be said about this has been said before really. I think the mods are aware of the situation already so this thread isn't needed.
 
Again, I don't see why we need a permanent Mod in here for the most part.

Usually the big fights are caused my someone saying that PS3 it better than xBox or Halo is amazing/crap.

Competitors are sometimes a problem but are usually pointed out and rectified by other forum members. Its not very often we break the rules.

Are we really so immature we think we need the big boys to make sure we all play fair?

I always thought OcUK was a right-leaning forum ;)

The regulars all agree with you, sadly our requests for a mod presence falls on deaf ears.

We need someone to keep this place tidy.


IMO its not the regulars that are the problem in these forums, we have our spats but usually they are mature(ish) and we know where to draw the line (about 5 paces after we crossed it) Its a minority of infrequent posters and Console forum noobs that tend to cause 90% of the agro,

The thing that bugs Me, is it is always the same arguments.

OMG! it has jaggies. OMG! the PS3 cant play media as good as a video CD! OMG! it is only 30FPS!

That and the constant snide remarks. Really is like the Graphics Card section used to be, but perhaps even worse.
 
i agree, just because some people don't agree with the majority on certain threads they get slammed for either being haters or causing trouble....its just not on.

repeat then you are a troll, a fanboy etc etc no discussion allowed without being flammed for it. Oh well lol

Behave, that's not the not what the intention of the thread is all about, it's about trying to get some mod prescence in here.
 
Last thread i said the adminning was enough, but to be honest im beginning to change my mind. This forum is getting quite bad for fanboys that will bicker and destroy a thread, and so far ive seen very little in the way of moderation to the bickering.

The adminning is good, when theres an admin on, but theres doesnt seem to be an admin in this part of the forum very often.

Nothing breaking the rules really, but all *** bitching in the threads is getting annoying. I stopped reading most of the Forza threads due to them just being arguing.
