I have a TX gifted Witcher 3 key. I already have the game - doh! Any objections to giving it away on the forums?

Ah, maybe it needs the same conditions as Members Market. 1000 posts or/and 1 year membership.

Or maybe you need to configure you trust account. Try clicking "trust" box, bottom right of each of your forum posts.

To be honest I'd rather just donate to someone who is really keen to get the game but finds the £50 too steep to justify.

£50 is too much indeed. I pre-ordered before Xmas on a key-site and I'm still waiting for £19 refund, because of how the distribution of keys was changed they got no keys in the end.

You can give keys away in the regular PC Games sub forum too. I'd suggest a post there asking people to register interest and then choose a member at random after a set amount of time.
