Far cry 2 jerking problems

Run the internal benchmark, and stick a screenshot of the results up :)
 
There is normally a universal patch that will bring any version up to the lastest version or at very least up to 1.3 and then an incremental patch taking you from 1.3 to 1.32. Look a bit harder
 
OP, you're going to have to cap the FPS at 30, so go into the console whilst ingame and type the following command; gfx_maxfps=30/gfx_max fps=30. For some reason the 4870 and the 4890's are known to have micro stuttering issues in Far Cry 2, using the above command fixed it for me.

PS: You will have to apply it everytime you load up Far Cry 2.

When I had a 4870 I had the same problem, actually with a few games. The max fps thingy sorted it out for me as well.
 
You don't use a graphics tablet at all do you?

Couldn't run this game in DX10 mode without disabling my tablet first in 'services.msc'.
