Can't wait for this, wouldn't mind it on the pc but not going to upgrade my mobo, ram, cpu, agp for one game.

Heard there is no demo coming out.

Roll on Oct the 1st

they could have done a shooting range or some where they dont give anything away of the games story but let you look and shoot stuff with a couple of the guns m:peh either way am getting it as well

hope it it good :) loved far cry on the pc, although i never finished it :o couldnt get passed a bit were loads and loads of men just keep coming at you in a coridor .

From what Ive seen of it i wasn't impressed at all. I will deffo give it a go when i finally upgrade my PC though.

How do you figure? It's easier to get good looking graphics out of one set of hardware (consoles) than multiple sets (PC's).

The only thing it'll probably suffer with is resolutions and maybe textures to a point... providing its coded well.

Far Cry was a superb game, one of a few that I've played through multiple times, which for me is the mark a truely great game. I didn't even realise they were making a second one!

I agree with cheets, I won't ever upgrade a pc again just to play a game and I don't care if it looks a little less pretty on the 360. The game play in Far Cry was superb and that will be more than enough for me it it's as good.

Probably something to do with PC hardware being much more capable I'd imagine.

Yeah, probably that.

Well obviously this is true, a top end PC will wee all over the 360 for pretty much everything if the game is coded properly. Let's make it clear though, the 360 version will most likely be pretty damn good aswell.

Also, playing with a pad is a non issue for me now before anyone mentions that and I never thought I'd say that coming from PC gaming to consoles.

"We had the chance to play Far Cry 2 on a PC and on the Xbox 360. The PC version of the game had much more impressive visuals, running smoothly at an incredibly high resolution, somewhere in the 1600x1200 range. While the art assets appeared to be generally the same in both versions, the 720p-resolution console version just doesn't measure up. Still, when compared to other console shooters, Far Cry 2 more than holds its own thanks to a very powerful game engine and some interesting graphical tricks that frequently come into play."

Sounds to be coded pretty well on PC, unlike Crysis! :D
