Far Cry 3 Thread

My game does the same unless I lower the engine clock on my GTX580, did the same with Dishonored & one or two other games,I discovered this 'fix' on a forum.
I have Asus Smartdoctor installed & simply move a slider a little before I play, it has no effect on slowing down the game

I considered that too.
I haven't overclocked my 670gtx.Drivers are upto date.

Clearly a clash somewhere, its just frustrating when you don't get any trouble from 99% of other games. However, the AAA title pulls a spasm with your hardware. ;-)

What are chances that its my overclocked CPU? ([email protected])

Wishing I had grabbed Skyrim instead ;-)

Dont mean to sound like a negative ladys private parts, but along with Crysis 2 this has to be the worst £29.99 i've spent on a game of lame. So over hyped, under delivers in terms of graphics and play-ability. Specifics: textures - awful and poorly mapped. Gaps between the textures - little white lines so you can kinda see each poly a little too obviously. Controls - dont feel natural out of the bag - took quite a bit of faffing to get it 'controllable' . i Could go on, but feel bad for laying the negative vibe out so much !

Can't really say I noticed any of what you mention, controls were easy enough to pick up and had no issues with the graphics at all.

Have to say I found the graphics superb, not really noticed any gaps or dodgy textures?

Control-wise, I've been using my 360 controller all the time and its great with that. Loving the game.

How are people doing the Gunslinger Takedown on PC?

When I try to do it, it keeps doing the knife throw takedown instead. Tried pressing wasd keys, makes no difference.

Bought this game on a whim after seeing the zero punctuation vid, was half expecting it to be another horrible boring FPS. What a surprise, have barely been off it since I got it.

There's the odd few bugs and it feels a little easy. But the game keeps throwing surprises at me. Like last night I was trying to avoid a tiger that I stumbled upon, as I moved towards the river thinking the coast was clear, I get dragged under by a crocodile :D

I do wish the pirates would try to reclaim outposts, especially near zones where their presence is high.

I love taking the outposts with the sniper with the silencer attachment, shoot all the alarms and then pick people off, and to finish the heavies, C4 or some explosive arrows :)

Explosive arrows?! When do they show up? I only have the Molotov fire ones.
