Far Cry 3 Thread

I'll avoid this like anything for the first month after making the stupid mistake of pre-ordering the second one (based on paid off reviews from outlets like PC Gamer).

Once I've got some decent impressions then I may purchase it, providing it isn't bug ridden or with stupid game mechanics.

It also makes perfect sense for an show where countless numbers of people demo the game to use the xbox controller. It is immediately pick up and play.

For a FPS game on the PC? At a show or not, that's just plain wrong whichever way you look at it. FPS on the PC = KB & Mouse.

it doesn't matter which studio makes UBI games, they are all buggy.... only the FEAR games/ Borderlands were bug free.

Fallout 3 was buggy as hell too and Bathsheda never bothered to patch it, we complained like crazy, at least UBI fix theirs !

i only ever play shooters so i never buy other games.... but saying that Deus Ex runs very well indeed, it's just a shame you dont get enough ammo, plus it's too bloody complicated storywise, i'd rather play Seriuos Sam 3.... lol

i agree fallout is a buggy game really good if youput aside bugs, I had driver san fran and that game peed me off so much, the Uplay servers kept going down I couldnt log into my game to even play it I cant think of other ubi games that ive experienced problems with, last splinter cell game I played was the first one to be released on xbox 360 I think double agent if im right

LOL, FEAR game not buggy? There was some horrendous bug (or at least incompatibility) whereby people with logitech HID drivers would get massive framerate drops (say 15fps on a system that should be pushing 60fps+)

I've just played through the four Assassin's Creed games and didn't find them too bad on the bug front, yes there are a few dodgy things like clipping issues etc and continuity errors, but nothing that I found to be gamebreaking or massively offputting.

Stating facts is classed as 'trolling' now? Jesus Christ, you come across like the 12 year old YouTube kids kids with the 'trolling' comments. Hype it up all you want, I honestly can't wait for you and other people to buy this POS and then start having all sorts of issues, you people never learn.

Learn from what? The only thing people really disliked about Far Cry 2 was the outposts that would respawn AI all the time which made it a bit repetitive. Not exactly ' ubisoft can't make games anymore ' reputation breaking. Far Cry 1 was amazing, so I'm willing to give them a chance.
 
I loved Far Cry, and loved all the aspects of 2 and think 3 will be amazing. The only problem for me is the fact they seem to be abandoning a lot of the features from 2, to some people that's good but I'd love a hardcore mode or something, where cold and disease come into play. I bet your weapons don't even rust underwater anymore, and I bet weapons the AI drop are in perfect nic and never break. Does anyone know if the awesome injury system has gone too?

yes he's talking krap, you can see from the Psychos and the story that the game looks interesting, plus just because the 2nd game was boring doesn't mean the 3rd will be either, in the 3rd game there's a lot of drugs/ halucinating going on, plus other odd stuff, so this makes it nothing like the first two games... which were just straightforward ``clean cut`` shooters, but this game is genuinely weird/ funky and quite disturbing.

but if you choose to do all the silly side missions in FAR CRY 3 then watch out, because like all other games that i've ever played, it'll suddenly become repetative and boring.

FAR CRY 3 is flipping massive, it's 10 times bigger than the 2nd game, so you will have loads of side missions to do, pick only the best ones.

I know a person who read the script of FarCry 3, you on the other hand know nothing.

No insults and fully star out all swearing.
