I think it's good. Doesn't do anything earth shattering but its still the most enjoyable shooter I've played since CoD4. I'm not really sure what all the nay-sayers were expecting from it to be honest.
 
jsut stareted playing so cant really comment on the actual game, but annoyed they changed all the controls
 
I've been playing it for a while now and i'm so irritated with it. There's so many things wrong with it. It looks like a pile of crap too, the textures are horrible and everything feels.. just wrong. Like the size of the environment compared to you doesn't seem right.

At the minute i'm currently sat here wishing i'd bought dead space.
 
I have only played about an hours worth but this game reminds me of Stalker to a degree. Give the game a chance to show its potential is what I would suggest.
 
It's getting better having put a few hours in now. Not finding the respawning quite as bad as others either although still not sure what the longevity of the game is. If all the missions are either shoot someone or stop a convoy and shot someone it's going to get old fast I fear.

:confused: That's like the opposite of what I was expecting. I thought this game was supposed to have very good AI and interaction, along with an interesting mission system and awesome action. And by what I've seen, the graphics weren't supposed to be a strongpoint.
 
Its good, taking me a while to get into it.

Hasn't grabbed me in the same way as both Stalker and Crysis did. But I've played about 5 hours since installing it about 12 hours ago, so it can't be that bad!

Well that's what I was expecting too, but it isn't like that...
The combat is poor imo, people take too long to die and it just doesn't feel well, it feels, how do you call it, dumbed down and console-ish. Not fast paced & hard like in the original Far Cry... The characters sound dry and can easily be ignored, it's only a matter of listening to their boring talk and press E sometimes. Missions are pretty much only the same, Go to place X, kill Y, ambush Z, or a combo of the 3... Ai is amazingly stupid, not assaulting you when you are 1 yard away from them sometimes... And on other times the AI is bloody annoying, out of nowhere a jeep shows up shooting to you trying to run you over, when they couldn't possibly see me.

But on the other side, the environment looks beautiful imo, I don't get why people whine about, the graphics are superb... I think people expect way too much now after Crysis... The buddy's are amazingly a good idea, I was like ''aww what crap have they come up with now, buddy's?! wtf!'', but it actually works :).

Last night I would have picked "dreadful", but having played it some more this evening I am willing to up that to "OK"......barely. I think I might stick with it for a bit longer, rather than just sell it ASAP. I certainly don't think I'll ever rate it higher than "OK" tho!
 
A couple of flaws but I really liked it. Most, if not all of the issues I have could easily be addressed in patches but for the time being its a nice change from most of the games I play.
